Copy on Call

... Because you never get a second chance to make a first impression

Every letter you write, every ad you approve, the copy on your website, your newsletters, postcards you send, and even the e-mail that leaves your desk is making an impression - good or bad.

Prospects who have never met you in person will read those words and form their opinion of you based on what you say and how you say it.

When you present yourself as friendly, articulate, attentive to details and interested in their needs, they'll have a positive impression.

But... when your paragraphs are vague or unclear; when typographical errors litter your sentences; when mis-used words jar their senses, and when your words are "all about you," they'll have a negative impression.

Sadly, if writing isn't "your thing," if you haven't had time to study the psychology of selling with the written word, or if you're forced to get it done in a hurry because you're busy doing what you do best - that opinion is not a true reflection of you or the work you do.

The truth is, not everyone loves words. And the most effective, conscientious Realtor in the world might not know whether to use "there" or "their" in a sentence.

And why should they? Each of us has our own talent and expertise. Why should anyone be expected to do everything well? I used to be a real estate broker, so I know about that field, but I'm sure not going to decide to be my own dentist or mechanic!

Still, most prospects expect professional people to be as professional in writing as they are in person. It isn't fair - but it is.

What if every written word that represents you made a good impression on your prospects?I know, you can't afford to hire a full-time writer to sit by your side all day...

That would be kind of silly, as well as expensive. After all, you aren't writing letters, ads, newsletters, flyers, etc. all day every day.

It would be a waste of money, and you'd go nuts trying to find something for that writer to work on all day.

The good news is: There's a better, more affordable way.

It's called Copy on Call.

It's a service I've introduced in answer to clients who need things quickly - too quickly to go through the process of signing a contract, making a deposit, and assigning the work.

This service is for clients who know what they want to say, and are willing to write it themselves. But at the same time, want to make sure that that their message is conveyed with clarity, in a manner that will appeal to their prospects.

It's for clients who are in a hurry - and don't want to take the time to get out a dictionary or a usage manual to make sure that their spelling and usage is correct.

If you're too busy selling real estate to enjoy perfecting your written words, it may be for you.

Here's how it works...

You can reserve my services for blocks of 3, 6, 9, or more hours per month in exchange for a pre-paid retainer. The number of hours you choose will depend upon the volume of work you usually need.

When you need writing edited, you'll send it to me along with a note telling me who the recipients are and what you hope to accomplish with the piece. I'll "clean it up" and send it back to you within 24 hours - limited to week-days. 24 hour turnaround is possible on week-ends, but not a promise.

Of course, I will still be available for regular copywriting assignments such as sales letters, web copy, email campaigns, press releases, postcards, newsletters, and more, on a contract basis. Depending upon the hours you've reserved, such assignments could be included, but not with a 24 hour turn around time.

Are you ready to start making that good impression?

Then check my Copy on Call rates and terms.

Yours for success,

Marte
