Chicagoland REALTOR® Carol Juntunen brings her clients the benefit of market knowledge, real estate expertise, perseverance, and finely honed negotiating skills.
She also brings them benefits which are less tangible, but for many, just as important: understanding, caring, and loyalty. Her past clients describe her accessibility and personal attention as having made them feel as if they were her only client.
For her, going above and beyond is not just a phrase; it’s a way of doing business.
Carol specializes in representing clients who must sell a house while going through the trauma of having lost a loved one. Having been in that position herself, she knows what these sellers are facing from both an emotional and practical standpoint. Her goal is to make the sales process as easy and successful as possible for them.
Many of Carol’s clients are out-of-state, and some of the homes she lists come with issues related to everything from deferred maintenance to legal complications.
Because she wants to realize the best possible return for her clients, she takes on duties that most agents will not. She uses her business and organizational skills, combined with her renovation knowledge and artistic talent, to orchestrate and manage the steps that must be taken prior to presenting a home to the market. Toward that end, she has assembled a network of service providers and professionals to assist in addressing these issues.
She’ll also recommend selling “as is” if that appears to be the correct choice.
Carol gets “hands on” with staging or virtual staging before launching a full-scale, customized marketing campaign. She invests in expert photography and paid ads and uses Baird & Warner’s vast marketing resources plus her own social media marketing skills to put each listing in front of as many potential buyers as possible.
Carol extends this caring and these services to other clients as well…
She has a special place in her heart for veterans and current members of the military, thanks to her father, who is a veteran of both the army and the Navy. Thus it gives her great pleasure to participate in Baird & Warner’s Military on the Move® program, which gives a cash rebate to qualified veterans and their family members. Baird & Warner’s First Responder Program offers a similar rebate to first responders.
She’s also happy to assist seniors who are ready for a change, whether that means selling a current home and purchasing a new one in the community, retiring out of state, or moving to assisted living. She’ll take the time to talk it over and help explore the options, then put them in touch with people who will help with packing, moving, estate sales, and readying the house for market.
Financial difficulties have become a fact of life for many during these past several years. She eases the strain for homeowners in default by helping them maneuver the complexities of short sales or sell quickly to avoid foreclosure. She also assists buyers who wish to pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities.
After Carol earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and radio, TV, & film, she held management positions with Motorola for 23 years. She later co-owned a home repair and improvement business in Canada for a dozen years and operated a successful crafts business. Now her clients reap the benefit of her skills and experience.
Never one to rest on past accomplishments, and armed with a life-long thirst for knowledge, Carol has taken the time to become certified in areas that directly benefit her clients. Her certifications include:
- Probate Real Estate Specialist
- Seniors Real Estate Specialist
- Military on the Move Certified
- Certified Staging Consultant

When not assisting clients, she can be found assisting her parents, who recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. She loves being in nature, and finds hiking to be a form of mediation. She also enjoys kayaking, rooting for the Chicago Cubs with her parents, reading, cooking, and travel.
An animal lover, she supports rescue organizations and shares her home with a rescue cat named Coco.
Carol Juntunen is known among her associates as being a problem-solver with determination and perseverance. She brings her clients a special blend of service rooted in education, experience, and caring.
