Get your New Year off to a good start by reaching out to those people who can bring you business this year. And once you start, don’t stop! If you want to avoid the peaks and valleys that often accompany a real estate career, do SOMETHING to market yourself every single day.
Write one thank you note. Hand your card to one new person. Make one phone call to a past client, just to check in and chat for a few minutes. Post a new listing on your blog, or maybe on Craig’s list. Write a post about an event coming up in your city, or about a new restaurant you’ve discovered.
It’s best when you can do those things in multiples, but doing just one will keep your momentum going.
I know, reaching out every day can be tough. I used to be a real estate broker myself, so I know how tight your time is when you’re busy. I know it’s hard to stay in touch with as many people as you need to reach in order to be successful. BUT… if you set your letters up in an autoresponder, you won’t have to think about it all the time. All you’ll have to worry about is making time to respond to people who respond to your marketing efforts.
