Free real estate class helps agents avoid mistakes

December 20, 2019 by Marte Cliff

Real estate licensing classes are only the tip of the iceberg…

As we all know, taking the classes to qualify for licensing is just the beginning of a real estate education. At first, new new agent mistakes can hurtagents don’t even know what they don’t know. As a result, mistakes are easy to come by – and some of those mistakes can seriously affect a career.

That’s why I am pleased to share information sent to me from Megan Pighetti, the Partnership Director at Thrive Real Estate Education.

This is a company that offers Continuing Education classes, along with professional development courses and videos. At this time, CE courses for credit are available in Washington, Colorado, Kansas, Michigan, Hawaii, and Tennessee, with approval pending in Oregon and Florida.

Megan wrote this week to tell me about a free continuing education class that should probably be first on the list for new agents – whether they get CE credit for it or not.

Mistakes can cost money and harm your career, so do your best to avoid them!

The class, Common Mistakes Made by Real Estate Rookies and The Rest of Us, is FREE to all, and will help new agents become more aware of common pitfalls that can derail their careers. She said it is also a useful refresher for experienced agents. Contracts, disclosures, and home warranty agreements are a few of the topics covered.

In addition to the price (free, remember) another great thing about the course is that you don’t have to finish it all in one sitting. You can start, stop, and come back to it later.

Professional Development videos – also free.

The Professional Development information is also FREE, and the topics are wide-ranging. If you like to learn from videos, visit https://thriverealestateeducation.com/, then scroll down to the map and click on your state. Choose from videos ranging in length from just a few minutes up to nearly an hour.

Wherever you are in your career, there’s always more to learn. These videos just might cover a topic you’ve been wanting to explore, so go take a look!
