It’s just a symbol, right? Yes, but it’s one of the most important symbols we’ll ever encounter – because its the symbol of freedom.
And how important is the National Anthem? Is it just a song?
Do you know all the words? Do you know what went on that night as Ft. McHenry was being bombarded? Do you realize how different our lives might be today if that flag had not made it through the night?
I hope freedom matters to you, and that you’re voting today to keep ALL of our freedoms. This year, the first two Amendments to the Constitution are in peril.
Do you know what they say? Here they are:
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

After you vote to preserve the Constitution, take the time to send up a prayer of thanks to all those brave souls who have fought to keep our flag flying…
We owe them our very lives…
