Yesterday’s email contained two very strange messages for August 31…
The first one shouted that I had better be getting my air conditioning unit in shape for the coming summer.
Well – OK. But I don’t live in Australia. Summer is not coming – it’s going. In fact, short days and cool temperatures are telling us that fall is nearly here – and soon it will be time for the snow to fall.
The second one admitted that summer is not on its way, but it jumped the gun just a bit.
That one said “Happy Halloween!”
I definitely believe in getting your messages written and loaded into an autoresponder, but do take care to make sure that season-specific messages get sent in the correct season. Otherwise, you’re left looking just a bit silly. Anyone reading them either knows you didn’t send that today – or think’s you’re a few bricks short of a load.
So be careful. Sometimes timing is everything.
An outstanding share! I have juust forwarded tҺіs ontօ a coworker who was
oing a little homeweork ߋn thіs. And he actually
bought me breakfast Ьecause I discovered it fоr
him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!!
But yeah, tҺanx for spending tҺe time tߋ discuss this matter Һere on үօur blog.
Thanks for the thanks! I’m glad it was useful.
