Free Sample: A January "Keeping in Touch" Real Estate Letter

You know you need to stay in touch with your past clients and your sphere of influence.

You need to remind them that you're still there - ready, willing, and eager to help them and their friends. You need to put your phone number or email address in front of them often enough so they'll always have it handy.

But how do you do that without feeling like you're being a pest?

By giving instead of asking. In this case, by giving them something to talk about at home, at work, or at a social gathering. These aren't run-of-the-mill holidays, but celebrations that many have never heard of. They'll share the news - and hopefully share your name as well.

Introducing the "Holiday/Event Keeping in Touch" real estate letter set.

The entire set consists of 2 letters per month, plus one Happy New Year and one Easter letter - for a total of 26 letters.

Below you'll find one of the January letters. Please feel free to cut, paste, and use it to connect with everyone on your list.

Dear (name),

Want to start the New Year by learning something new and (for most of us) different? How about learning a dying art, just to keep it alive a bit longer?

January 11 is the day - it's National Learn Your Name in Morse Code Day.

Until 2007 knowing Morse Code was a requirement for obtaining a ham radio operator's license, but no more. Now the only people who regularly use Morse Code are our military communicators - especially those in war zones. It seems in this case that old technology is better than new, as Morse Code is far more difficult to intercept and interpret than communications sent by radio or electronic transmissions.

Without a huge demand for telegraph keys, their production has not been automated. In fact, they're still made by hand, one at a time, right here in the U.S. One of the major suppliers is the Nye Viking Company, located in a small North Idaho town.
