If you plan to succeed, you have to plan to do more than one thing to build your business, and the things you do should complement each other, so each marketing exposure builds upon the last. Of course you can’t do everything that anyone will suggest to you, so choose your avenues wisely.
Along with maintaining a website you need to choose and pursue your favorites among activities such as blogging, sending mailings, being seen in person at local events, writing articles, advertising in print media, using social networking sites, etc.
And you need to be consistent.

- If you mail prospecting letters, mail a series, not just one.
- If you blog, do it regularly, not just once or twice a month.
- If you take advantage of free newspaper coverage, do it often enough so that people come to recognize you.
- If you visit your farm area in person, do so every month or two – not just once.
No matter what else you do to build your business…
Put staying in touch with past clients and your sphere of influence at the TOP of your list.
You may not see the results instantly, but this one activity can add tremendously to your long term success.
