Two Ways to Maintain a Positive Attitude

July 31, 2014 by Marte Cliff

Two ways to live in a positive frame of mind…

First, never replay your failures.

Most of us have a tendency to go over and over and over situations that we wish had never happened.
If you need to do it once so you can think about how to do it differently next time, do that. Then write down the solution.
Then the next time those thoughts start trying to replay, “change the channel” to something pleasant.
It doesn’t have to be business related – you can think about the smile on a loved one’s face, fuzzy puppies, or a funny movie you saw. Anything that brings a smile to your heart will do.

Second, take a few minutes before you go to sleep at night to go back over things that went right in your day.

Those you can replay as often as you like – and it’s good to go back and feel the good feelings, too.

Right now, think what was the best thing that happened yesterday?  Think about it for a minute and enjoy it again.
Now, how do you feel?
